HUARAZ PROGRAMS

If you are interested in adventure tourism, the White Mountains offer many paths of unbelievable beauty. You can enjoy the sight of impressive snowy peaks, lakes, pools, archaeological ruins, etc., as well as practicing rafting or canoe rowing in the River Santa.

LAGUNA 69
TREK: LAGUNA 69
2 días - 1 noche

We will leave Huaraz by bus. Following the road to the Llanganuco Lakes, we will ascend towards the “Portachuelo” enjoying an impressive 360º view and observing the snowy peaks of the White Mountains: Huascarán (6.768 m), Huandoy (6.395 m), Chacra Raju (6.112m), Chopicalqui (6.354m), Pisco (5.752), etc. then we will descend as far as the Demanda Pass to start the trek going inland. The following day we will arrive at Lake 69 having in front of us the sight of the impressive ChacraRaju and Pisco.
Itinerary:
1st Day: Huaraz – Llanganuco – Portachuelo –Llanganuco – Quebrada Demanda.
2nd Day: Q. Demanda – Laguna 69 – Q. Demanda- Huaraz.
This program includes:

LLAMA TREK - The Olleros/Chavín track

3 days - 2 nights

Incas’ Path (3 km) full of views of the White Mountains; we finish the trek when we arrive at the Chavín Castle using llamas instead of donkeys as load animals. This trek will enable you to get acquainted with the traditional customs of the peasants’ towns of this area.
Itinerary:
1st Day: Huaraz – Olleros – Aqocancha – Kiswar – Tsakracancha.
2nd Day: Tsakracancha –Tuctupampa Paso de Yanashallash Hapay (4.700 m) – Quebrada Shongo.
3rd Day: Shongo – Chichucancha – Chavín – Huaraz.
This program includes:

TREK: SANTA CRUZ – LLANGANUCO

4 days - 3 nights
Common trek of the White Mountains; activity that enables us to enjoy the beauty of the landscape.

We will leave by bus through all the Callejón de Huaylas arriving at the Cashapampa town, where the trekking starts. Following the Santa Cruz Ravine we will go across the Ichic Cocha and Hatun Cocha Lakes, and before reaching Taullipampa we will shift towards the Arhuaycocha Ravine (where the Alpamayo Base Camp is located). From Taullipampa the view of the Taulliraju is impressive; through the Punta Unión Pass (4.750), we will cross to the Huaripampa Ravine; we will descend to Colcabamba town, and then we will ascend to Portachuelo (4.767); from this place we will have a splendid view of the most important snowy peaks of the White Mountains: Huascarán (6.768 m), Huandoy (6.395 m), ChacraRaju (6.112 m), Chopicalqui (6.354 m), Pisco (5.752m), etc. At the end we will go across the Llanganuco Lake.

2nd Day: Llama Corral – Taullipampa
3rd Day: Taullipampa – Punta Unión Huaripampa

TREK: ULTA RAVINE – LLANGANUCO

3 days- 2 nights

This is an alternative for those people who love nature and life in the open, who want to live an experience in the White Mountains in a short period of time. They will enjoy the sight of beautiful landscapes from three viewpoints of the White Mountains (Punta Olímpica 4.890 m, Yanayacu 4.830 and Portachuelo of Llanganuco 4.767).
1st Day: Huaraz-Punta Olimpica (viewpoint where we may appreciate the snow-covered mountains Ulta Hualcan and Contrahierbas, among others) -Q. Ulta-Hualcapampa. Camp.
2nd Day: Hualcapampa - Yanayacu (where we may watch the snow-covered mountains such as Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Chequia raju, Ulta, Contrahierbas, Hualcan and others) -Molinopampa
3rd Day: Molinopampa – Portachuelo (viewpoint of the Andes where we will enjoy contacting the nature, observing snow-cappeds such as Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Chacraraju, Huandoy among others) – Llanganuco – Huaraz.

This is a proposal for people who love adventure and mountains, for people who want to climb a peak. Experience in mountain climbing is not required. The climbing does not show technical difficulties and from its peak (5.750 m) an impressive view of the most famous peaks in the White Mountains can be observed: Huascarán (6.768 m), Huandoy (6.395 m), Artesonraju (6.025 m), Chopicalqui (6.354 m), etc.
Itinerary:
1st Day:Huaraz – Llanganuco – Portachuelo – Q. Demanda Base Camp
2nd Day: Base Camp – Peak – Base Camp
3rd Day: Base Camp – Q. Demanda – Huaraz.
